Satin Spar Selenite This stone is commonly referred to as "Selenite". True Selenite is clear and non-fibrous while this Satin Spar is opaque and fibrous. Selenite is much more inexpensive than Satin Spar. Most people know Satin Spar as Selenite, including many sellers and retailers, which is why I chose to call it Satin Spar Selenite.
Both Satin Spar and Selenite are the same mineral, they come from the Gypsum family, but they each crystallize differently.
