Satin Spar Selenite This stone is commonly referred to as "Selenite". True Selenite is clear and non-fibrous while this Satin Spar is opaque and fibrous. Selenite is much more in-expensive than Satin Spar. Most people know Satin Spar as Selenite, including many sellers and retailers, which is why I chose to call it Satin Spar Selenite.
Both Satin Spar and Selenite are the same mineral, they come from the Gypsum family, but they each crystallize differently.
