I can’t even get over this gorgeous naturally formed Petroleum DT Quartz (also called Pakistani Quartz, or Pakimer Diamonds because of its similarities to Herkimer Diamonds)!
These stones are crystal clear and have tiny inclusions of carbon and petroleum bubbles that glow under UV light! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These double terminated (two pointed) beauties are a rarer form of crystal as they form free-floating in pockets of clay, rather than on a side of a stone.
Many sellers sell these as Herkimer Diamonds and molecularly speaking they are one in the same, however, to be considered a TRUE Herkimer diamond they must have been mined in Herkimer, New York.
